TASTING NOTES

Castillo Ygay Gran Reserva 2007 Tinto

Marqués de Murrieta, Rioja

Medium ruby colour. Complex nose with sweet spices (cinnamon) aromas, hazelnut, kirsch. Showing different stages on the palate, all of them marked by finesse and balance. Silky, well-integrated tannins, long finish. Perhaps not as impressive as 2004 and 2005 but this wine is a long-distance runner and it is worth seeing how it develops with time. 17.5 points
