Josep Mitjans is a specialist in making wine in amphorae and this Xarel.lo is a benchmark among the various wines he produces in clay vessels. The nose is clean and clear with lots of herbal aromas. The texture feels slightly different in the palate but without the earthy, sometimes annoying touch of wines made in clay. Very pleasing for wine lovers who search for vibrant acidity and salty notes on the finish. Great value. 16.5 points
