José Gil La Cóncova 2018 Tinto

José Gil, Rioja

Significant progress over the first 2016 vintage as grapes are now sourced from a different part of the vineyard, fresher and with Garnacha grown alongside Tempranillo. Excellent, haunting, complex nose (red berries, landscape, herbs, red liquorice) and a silky, delicious, fresh palate with refined fruit, elegant tannins and remarkable persistence. Energy and delicacy in equal parts. A great Rioja. 17.5 points
