With so many new Albillo white wines emerging out of Ribera del Duero, we found this one, made beyond the limits of the appellation, to be particularly interesting. Grapes are sourced from a vineyard planted at 1,000m above sea level on limestone soils with some clay and sand on the surface. The result is a fresh, lively white with a distinctive chalky character on the finish. This well-crafted wine captures the landscape it comes from and has good potential to develop in bottle. 16.5 points
