Massipa de Scala Dei 2013 Blanco

Cellers Scala Dei, Priorat

This is the first white released by Cellers Scala Dei’s as part of its renewed portfolio. Massipa is the Catalan word given to the wife who used to tend the estate. Grapes come from an East-facing plot with clay soils and some gypsum near Masdeu. Golden colour. Ripe white fruit and petrol aromas with citrus on the background. This is a full-bodied wine with crisp citrus acidity showing a lanoline and toasty character. Clean finish with no trace of oak. 16.5 points
