Contino Mágnum Gran Reserva 2007 Tinto

Viñedos del Contino , Rioja

This is almost a secret wine that it is rarely released and always comes in magnum. It manages to capture beautifully the character of Contino and is a great choice for collectors. The style fits somewhere in-between the Reserva and the very modern Viña del Olivo. This vintage is very complex (kirsch, liquorice, spices) offering a concentrated palate which is nicely balanced by the acidity of Contino’s distinctive Graciano that helps to push flavours to a very long finish. A rare jewell. 17.5 points
