Passion for Spanish wine

TASTING NOTES

Ochoa 8A Origen Stunning Stones 2011 Tinto

Ochoa, Navarra

Grapes are sourced from different plots with stony soils, hence the name. Deep purple colour. Roasted red pepper aromas often associated to Spanish Cabernet, black fruit, eucalyptus. This is a firm, balanced, mineral (dry stones) red evoking shaded forests. Tannins will be less evident if paired with food. International grapes are not fashionable in Spain at the moment but this is still a lovely wine for the autumn season. 16.0 points
