Izar-Leku means place of stars in Basque (the vineyard it comes from offers amazing views of the sea). The wine is aged for 12 months in stainless steel tanks except for a batch (30%) that was kept in barrels prior to undergo the second fermentation in bottle where it spent 18 months with its lees. This is a sharp, youthful sparkling wine with a marked briny, iodine character showing great tension and displaying herbal notes rather than fruit. A wine to be discovered. 17.0 points
