Deep ruby colour with garnet rim. This is a truly complex, expressive red with lots of spices and fully ripe red and black fruits aromas (plum, blackberry). Well structured on the palate, it displays generous fruit flavors counterbalanced by the oak and a vibrant acidity. Its silky texture makes it approachable now although it should keep well for many years. 2010 was a fabulous vintage in Rioja combining intensity and balance. 17.0 points
