Having a wine from this excellent vintage on the market at a relatively affordable price provides a rare opportunity to assess the evolution of Ribera reds. The wine has the distinctive restrained character of the area, complex spicy notes and hints of liquorice. The palate is moreish with polished, elegant tannins and the kind of texture that can only be achieved with time. 16.5 points
